Prior to joining Clemson University in 2018 I was the Deputy Director of the Pennsylvania Commission on Sentencing which was created by the Pennsylvania General Assembly in 1978. The Commission promulgates guidelines intended to promote sentencing equity and fairness, and conducts research and evaluation related to sentencing in the Commonwealth. The Commission is responsible for ongoing evaluation research of various state programs and is currently engaged in a legislative mandate to incorporate risk assessment into the sentencing guidelines.
